GALLATIN ON THE MOVE 2020
Over the past year, the planning project known as The Gallatin on the Move 2020: General Development and Transportation Plan Update, has involved hundreds of Gallatin area residents, community and business leaders in brainstorming ideas for the future of Gallatin. In August 2007, the City of Gallatin hired a professional planning and engineering firm, MACTEC Engineering and Consulting, Inc., to lead an effort to update the city’s comprehensive land use and transportation plan.

The following documents have been updated to reflect additional information and revisions to elements of the Preliminary Draft Plan provided below. The Major Thoroughfare Plan element is currently being revised and will be posted as soon as possible. Please contact the Planning Division at 451-5796 if you have any questions or need additional information about the Gallatin on the Move 2020 Plan.

PUBLIC OPEN HOUSE – SEPTEMBER 4, 2008
The City held a Public Open House in Gallatin City Hall on Thursday, September 4th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to present the information gathered throughout the planning process and to provide an opportunity for residents to provide feedback on the preliminary draft of the updated land use and transportation plan. The open house style meeting format was intended to allow residents the opportunity to browse various informational displays. Members of the consultant team and city staff were available to answer questions and gather feedback about the ideas presented in the draft plan. Approximately 45 to 50 people attended the Open House
